I knew it!

People always tell me I don't sound like I'm from South Louisiana...some say I sound like I'm from the South, but I definitely don't have a Cajun accent. So there ya have it!

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

You definitely have an accent. This quiz just asks what you think words should sound like - it has no way of knowing how you actually speak.

I didn't say that I don't have an accent--the quiz said that! ;) I know that I have some sort of accent. EVERYONE has some sort of accent. It was just a twenty-something question internet quiz, not a formal evaluation. I'm flipping through the phonebook now and I'll let y'all know when I've received the results from my official linguistic assessment...until then, it's just for FUN folks!

allow me to join you with the Midland accent as well. I get the "you don't sound like you're from Lafayette" look/saying all the time.
